The Thames Valley Vikings Wheelchair Basketball Club was founded in 2004; by Jacqueline Cass who runs the club as a volunteer.
The wheelchair basketball club which is based at Kennet Leisure centre caters for players aged 8 upwards who have a physical disability. All the players play in a sports wheelchair, completing training sessions, friendly and competitive matches. The club also offers the opportunity for volunteers to help within the session to assist the players to participate in the sport. Many of the current volunteers are working towards awards themselves, such as the Duke of Edinburgh award
